Our penny loafer was created with two things in mind: versatility and comfort. It's the ultimate shoe for travel, given the ability to be paired with a sport coat or t-shirt and almost anything in between. We find ourselves wearing this shoe year-round—sockless with shorts/lightweight fabrics in the summer and with wool socks and denim through the winter.
Combining a forgiving upper leather and soft insole/outsole tannage, the Traveler Penny strikes the perfect balance of structure and support.

"This is my third pair of Grant Stone’s and my first pair of loafers. The build quality is extremely solid. The C. F Stead bourbon suede is very forgiving and breathable. The shoe almost feels unlined (an option I wish they had in this makeup). I often struggle with shoe sizing issues due to my low volume foot, however, Kim and the rest of the customer service staff couldn’t have been more helpful and patient though!"

"I was never a loafer guy before, but now I’m hooked. It took a couple tries to get sizing right but GS customer service is top notch just like their products. Once broken in these are extremely comfortable and not having to deal with laces is a plus. Also, these can be dressed up or down."

"These are beautiful shoes, so stylish and the suede is quality. I've only owned the a short while and worn them a handful of times but have gotten so many compliments. I also have to say that customer service went above and beyond helping me get the right size and then walk me through what to expect with the break in period. I assumed I was going to have to size down again and they told me how they would mold to my feet over time and they truly did. Thank you!"
Difficult to size properly
"The shoes look great and are well made, but I just couldn’t find a size that fit properly. I’m a fairly typical size 9 and ended up sizing down as recommended. Size 8. 5 was the right length, but painfully snug across the instep. After speaking with a sales representative, I ordered an 8. 5E, which solved the instep tightness but ended up being too wide in the heel, causing my foot to slip out of the shoe while walking. I ended up keeping the shoes, but probably wouldn’t buy this model again because the last seems to have too low an instep for my foot."

"Break in period was down right diabolical, thankfully after three to four wears they became the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn. Great leather quality, fantastic design, and I love the presentation. Yes the break in period sucked, but thankfully it was short and the payoff was immense."
