The French pedestrian
"Background: I usually wear Alden (but they become too expensive for everyday commute). Before they were bought by Prada I used to wear Church’s. Growing up in Paris I used to wear J. M. Weston. I wear my shoes; I do not collect them. Now, I live in DC and still walk a lot. Pro: the shoe is extremely comfortable, with no break in necessary. The toe box is very generous (I wear 3E). The suede is superlative, and the lining is top notch. The vamp is very nice with the subtle horsebit. Cons: really none. I might have my local cobbler put a topy on the front to get better grip and traction in the elevators in the Metro. TL;DR: it is a beautiful made shoe, which is very well priced. Buy a pair, and you will get loads of compliments!"
