Grant Stone Strikes Again

"I thought I had enough Grant Stone boots. Then I bought the Essex. These have quickly become one of my favorite pairs, and I actually like them more than my Crimson CXL boots. They’re not nearly as pale as they look in the photos, and the tan is already starting to develop beautifully. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the patina looks like after some serious wear. They were also ridiculously comfortable straight out of the box. For veg tan, I was expecting at least a little negotiation with my feet. None was required. I have plenty of other boots, but these somehow keep winning the morning decision. The Grant Stone team was also excellent to work with. I returned my previous order because I had the wrong size, and they handled it promptly and professionally. Great leather, great comfort, great service. Absolutely recommended. Now, if Grant Stone could stop making boots I want, that would be helpful."

Beautiful boots, excellent customer service

"The boots are beautiful and feel like quality. I ordered size E thinking my feet needed a wider fit. However, I was mistaken and had already tried on the boots, causing some visible creasing. I requested an exchange anyway for size D, and they kindly accomodated my request despite the creasing. If in doubt at all about sizing, reach out before ordering. The boots also come with waxed laces if you don't like the leather ones."

Great boots, but there are much better leather choices for the Diesel

"Fantastic build quality for the price and the boots look great…5 stars here. The downside is the leather, while it looks great, everyday life causes marks/stains on the boot that brushing does not remedy. I just keep telling myself “once the boot patinas you wont even notice all the spots anymore”"

Q&A

In my question answered I had forgotten to mention that I was referring to the Iron Ranger (8 last) which I have a pair in 12D and a pair in 12EE. I like the fit of both pairs a lot; the D hugs my foot more which I appreciate. I use the EE pair a lot of the time for yard work and sometimes I like the looser fit. Given the availability of this boot, I am therefore wondering too if maybe the 11.5EEE.: Yeah it's a close call, depending on what you're looking for. The majority of our customers in your situation are between 11EEE and 11.5EEE depending on how you'd like them to fit. To me, it seems you'd appreciate the 11EEE as your first option as it may resemble a similar volume to your 12D Iron Ranger but in different portions.
If my Brannock size is 11.5D and I wear 12 in a sneaker 11.5/12 in redwing boots; could I get away with wearing a 10.5 EEE in the diesel boot?: Some of our customers in your situation will wear the 10.5EEE. It's worth a try at least. When you're referring to your Redwing, what is the pattern, last, width, and do you like the fit?
