The Diesel Boot is our take on the essential plain-toe boot, combining Goodyear-welt construction with time-proven leathers for a durable, water-resistant, and comfortable everyday boot.
Gallun's Teton Waxy Stag tannage utilizes white-tailed deer local to the Great Lake States. Culled annually during the fall hunting season, the hides do not go to waste.
Gallun's proprietary light metal "Alum" or "Aluminum" Teton tannage is the base for this leather, after which it is retanned, introducing color, wax, and oils to dye, lubricate, and fill the typically soft and spongy fibers associated with deer. The retanning fills those voids and makes full, robust leather. The tannery finishes the leather, transforming it into Teton Waxy Stag, lightly buffing the top grain before rolling an emulsified wax on the remaining grain. While the leather's grain has been buffed lightly to reduce the visibility of scars, scratches, tick bites, and bullet holes, the hides still exhibit elements of the deer's life.

Diesel Boot Black Waxed Deer
Made with
Goodyear-welt Construction
Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.
Our Leo Last
Derived from our experience fitting and developing various orthopedic-shaped lasts designed for specific foot shapes, the Leo features a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. It embodies a traditional welted shoe shape while prioritizing all-day support and comfort.
Our mission
Providing Excellent Service
Our priority has been putting customers in shoes that properly fit them and standing by our amazing products. Many customers have found they have been wearing an incorrect size for years. This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.
We encourage customers to ask our team for assistance to ensure the best fit.
