Rainy day today—supposed to get more than an inch—calls for boots with a rubber sole. A great pair in olive kangaroo, a tough, durable leather with incredible tensile strength. The soles are similar to Dainite. A lot of folks complain about this type of sole not giving enough grip in the rain. I don’t doubt their experiences, but my own is that the soles work just fine. Paired with a hard-wearing wool double-breasted, warm purple flannel shirt, and brushed cotton trousers.
