COMMON QUESTIONS
The majority of our collection runs half a size larger than the average shoe size and one full size larger than the average sneaker. For example, if you wear a 10.5 in most shoes, we would suggest a 10D in our collection. For personal sizing suggestions, please send us an email here.
You shouldn't feel “hot spots” or any uncomfortable pressure. We recommend having adequate room from the first fitting to avoid a tight fit after wearing for a few hours. The shoe should not be stretched into fitting.

SIZING
The majority of our collection runs half a size larger than the average shoe size and one full size larger than the average sneaker. For example, if you wear a 10.5 in most shoes, we would suggest a 10D in our collection.
For a specific recommendation, please send us an email here.
Yes. We currently sell D (average), E (wide) and EEE (extra wide) in select styles. See all of our lasts here
Most customers will go up half a size or one width to make room for an insert. The thickness and shape of the orthotic will be the main factor.
We only sell our footwear in matching pairs. If you have two differently sized feet, we suggest finding a size that works for your larger foot and use an insert to accommodate the smaller foot.
A last is the wood or plastic mold that the shoe upper is built on. It determines the shape, fit, and aesthetics of the upper. See all of our lasts here.
We do create our own lasts. This is a process that can take years given the wear testing and revisions involved before commercializing.
Due to the volume in our lasts, they can usually accommodate a higher instep. Choosing a wider width such as a E or EEE will help increase the overall volume. See more information on widths here.
PRODUCT
Yes. We are firm believers in the quality and the wearability of GYW.
Leather soles can be worn in wet conditions. If your Grant Stone shoes get wet, allow them to dry naturally over a day or two and use shoe trees to help lengthen the lifespan and maintain the proper shape.
Our insoles are not removable. We use a Goodyear-welt construction consisting of thick leather insoles that act as a backbone of the shoe.
We have introduced E and EEE widths and will continue to expand the styles available in wider widths over time.
We occasionally offer pre orders for shell cordovan styles, announced in our Newsletter and on Instagram. For more information, please send us an email. info@grantstoneboot.com
We frequently restock our sizes. Please submit your email after choosing the product you are looking for and we will notify you when it's available.
