Longwing Dune Chromexcel

Made with

Goodyear-welt Construction

Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.

Our Leo Last

Derived from our experience fitting and developing various orthopedic-shaped lasts designed for specific foot shapes, the Leo features a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. It embodies a traditional welted shoe shape while prioritizing all-day support and comfort.

Our mission

Providing Excellent Service

Our priority has been putting customers in shoes that properly fit them and standing by our amazing products. Many customers have found they have been wearing an incorrect size for years. This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.

We encourage customers to ask our team for assistance to ensure the best fit.

Impeccable attention to detail!

"After looking at the Longwing's for years, I finally pulled the trigger. I was hesitant about the leather sole, but could manage to receive these in the Dune color. Excited to wear these out more when the weather warms up!"

Happy customer

"I absolutely love this pair of shoes. Grant stone really knocked this one out of the park. They are perfect—outstanding craftsmanship and they look fantastic. I will certainly purchase another pair of shoes from this company."

Zackary B. (5/5)

"Fine craftsmanship and prompt delivery. Dislike absence of customer service assistance over telephone"

pravesh r. (5/5)

Great shoes for my birthday

"Decided to order a pair of these as a birthday present for myself. This is a really nice pair of shoes, beautifully crafted and the fit is pretty much perfect. I was a little concerned the color would be too light but it’s a nice rich color that looks nicer in person than in the photos."

Matt R. (5/5)

Great shoes

"Great fitting shoe. Comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful supple leather and excellent construction. Exactly what I expect from Grant Stone."

Matthew R. (5/5)

Superior to any other shoe!

"Amazingly beautiful and superior quality. I love the leather sole with a rubber heel. You get the best of both worlds. These shoes will only look better as they age."

Juan C. (5/5)

Well constructed shoe. Reminds me

"Well constructed shoe. Reminds me of what my grandfather wanted. Great style, build, and price. Very rare these days. Good job gentlemen. Thank you."

Stewart C. (5/5)

GS First timer, very impressed!

"Bought my first couple of pairs of Grant Stone longwing shoes after reading many reviews of the brand online. Having Alden and other competitors, I wanted to try something new. The packaging and presentation was spot on. Right out of the box I was impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. Initially, I was a little concerned about the weight of the shoe (a measure of their quality) but after putting them on and wearing them the first time that concern quickly melted away as they fit like a glove. The dune looks great with jeans and sportcoat. I will definitely be buying again."

Jon F. (5/5)

Great shoes!

"I am very happy with these shoes. They look even better in person than on the website. I think they’re really versatile. I can wear them with jeans or chinos."

Ron T. (5/5)

Top notch

"So glad I invested in these. Brown derbies aren’t exactly revolutionary but the quality here is stand out and looking forward to having these as go-tos for years to come."

Q&A

A number of sources have suggested sizing down, what's your take on these longwing brogues? Thanks
Depends on what you are sizing down from. We suggest to size down by a half of a size from your common sneakers and some leather welted footwear. There are a few brands with roomy lasts which would be similar to ours and you might have to just follow the same size as those couple of brands. Send us an email if you would like to discuss your situation a little further!
Hello - I've been saving up for a while and just purchased the longwing dune in 9.5. It is a sight to behold and it feels great! There is a little slipping at the heel when I walk, but the width and length feel great, so I don't know if going to a 9 makes sense. Will this slipping subside with breaking them in? Do you have any tips? I usually wear a sock slightly thicker than a regular dress sock. Thanks.
Thanks for the question. We would not suggest sizing down as it sounds like the shoe fits you well from heel to ball area. We are writing you an email now with more specific steps to see if this issue can be alleviated.
Good looking shoes, guys! I've worn longwings by Florsheim by Duckie Brown, Trickers, Alden, Allen Edmonds, & Thom Browne - all were a 9.5 US or 43 EU. I'm thinking the same here - 9.5. Question really is can you provide recrafting on your shoes such as new welt, soles, heels, etc? Florsheim does not and lost the touch when they stopped making them in the USA; however, yours while made overseas look pretty darn good and "old school" as you defined. I am in the city daily and walk a lot - shoe repair in NYC can't replicate a recrafting. Can you advise? Lastly, do you see making a scotch grain wing any time soon? Jim
Thanks for the question. It sounds like a 9.5D would work as you mentioned. It would help though to compare a specific last or model to be more accurate in sizing. With regards to a sole repair, there are a few cobblers in NY who do great work. One of them would be B Nelson who frequently works with better grade welted shoes. A scotch grain longwing is a great looking shoe. We have sampled some darker browns which look interesting. Maybe we will have something available by the end of the year.
