If this boot had to be summarized in one word, it would be "comfort." Ostrich leather is known for being pliable and exceptionally strong. Combining these properties with the full-fitting Floyd last, unlined shaft construction, and padded collar, you have a one-of-a-kind boot.

The Field boot is designed for walking, working, and long weekend adventures. Leather components are used throughout the boot to create the foundation to withstand years of wear.

  • Goodyear-welt construction
  • Floyd last
  • Kango Tobacco Ostrich Leather
  • Handsewn moc-toe stitching
  • Full-grain kip leather lining
  • 360º flat welt
  • Antique brass eyelets and D-rings
  • Vegetable-tanned leather insole, welt, and midsole
  • Cork filler with steel shank
  • Full-grain leather heel counters
  • Wedge outsole for a soft strike and year-round wearability

Every pair crafted in our factory on Xiamen Island, China

The Floyd last runs a half-size large. Our customers typically take our Floyd-lasted footwear a half-size down from their average size. However, if you have low volume feet, you may want to go a full size down.

Field Boot Kango Tobacco Ostrich

Made with

Goodyear-welt Construction

Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.

Utilizing our

Floyd Last

The Floyd Last is a modified version of the Leo and shares many of the same features: a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. In contrast to its progeniture, the Floyd last features a taller, more voluminous toe box, providing a classic Americana workwear look.

Our mission

Providing Excellent Service

Our priority has been putting customers in shoes that properly fit them and standing by our amazing products. Many customers have found they have been wearing an incorrect size for years. This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.

We encourage customers to ask our team for assistance to ensure the best fit.

Awesome boot !! Materials and

"Awesome boot !! Materials and construction are top notch. It was a perfect fit based on Grant Stone recommendations. If you're thinking about getting this limited edition run get it !!"

Ronald B. (5/5)

"Okay, bought these on a whim, wanted to see what Grant Stone field boots were all about, bonus that they were in Ostrich leather, cuz thats a first for me. Quality is top tier, one of the midsoles on inside of each boot seems to either have a consistent crack on inside of sole or its a manufacturing step. Regardless, the sizing from another reviewer was spot on, went down a half size, E width, fits great, all thats left is breaking them in! I dont count the cracks as bad because i was already planning to get the outsole replaced to a different one if my choosing, not a huge fan of brown boots with high quality leather sporting beige wedge soles. The lacing comes loose easily once any knots are undone, making these boots quick on and off! Love the padded collars, they really increase the comfort level and i am now wishing that Grant Stone would put out a diesel/brass boot variants with padded collars! Leather looks a bit dry, but break in and conditioner may improve this."

Bring the Field Boot BACK!

"I'm still stumped as to why it appears this model has been discontinued. I have had my Field Boots in Dark Burgundy Kudu for three years now and absolutely love them. I also have two pairs of the Brass Boot, one also in Dark Burgundy Kudu and one in the Earth Waxed Commander. The Field Boot in my opinion looks better overall, is more comfortable and I like that it's a taller boot. The only reason for four stars instead of five is I do wish the sole lasted longer. I wear mine sparingly and they're already pretty featureless on the bottom due to wear. Bring the Field Boot BACK!"

Beautiful Boots to Carch the Eye.

"The Field Boot Kango Tobacco Ostrich look fantastic. The sole grips great in snow. The sizing of ½ down from normal was perfect. The Ostrich leather is thinner than many other leathers so I don't think it would be appropriate for work boots but for a pair of eye popping boots that make an impression you can't do better. I love them."

Richard M. (5/5)

Will be hard to beat

"These are the most attractive boots I’ve ever seen. And even better they are comfortable right out of the box. The padding at the top and height of boot add additional comfort. I went 1/2 size down same width as my diesels and they are flawless. A dream come true! Thank you Grant Stone!"

SHEENA H. (5/5)

Great Boot. I’ve wanted a

"Great Boot. I’ve wanted a pair of ostrich fieldboots for a long time, but didn’t want to pay the price of a CUSTOM built boot. But then I found the Grant Stone boot that’s built as well as a custom Boot and had to have them!"

Walter E. (5/5)

Great Boot. My first pair

"Great Boot. My first pair of Grant Stones. Just ordered the Deer skin Boot, which will be my second. This boot is Very comfortable and was a very quick break in period. The Boot runs a little longer that other styles. I typically wear a 10 in whites, nicks, redwing etc. this particular boot seems a little longer but width was good and the fit is nice. Just a little bit of a longer boot."

Todd N. (5/5)

"These have become an instant favorite. One of my most comfortable pair of boots. Highly suggest!"

Joshua (5/5)

Loved the field boots but not the leather

"Kango Tobacco Ostrich leather looked old, dried, tired, and wrinkly. Thought I had a bad pair and sent for a replacement. It was same. Didn’t like it one bit. The boots, though, wears extremely well and comfortable and craftsmanship was top notch. I had it replaced again with the bison leather and couldn’t be happier."
