Made with
Goodyear-welt Construction
Renowned for its durability and ability to be resoled repeatedly, Goodyear-welt construction involves stitching a welt—a strip of leather—around the shoe's perimeter, creating a cavity. After filling the cavity with the shank and cork, the sole is attached, providing strength and water resistance. This construction method results in shoes that are not only long-lasting but also easily repairable, making them a timeless investment in quality craftsmanship.
Our Leo Last
Derived from our experience fitting and developing various orthopedic-shaped lasts designed for specific foot shapes, the Leo features a moderate arch, heel control, medial support, and forefront freedom. It embodies a traditional welted shoe shape while prioritizing all-day support and comfort.
Our mission
Providing Excellent Service
Our priority has been putting customers in shoes that properly fit them and standing by our amazing products. Many customers have found they have been wearing an incorrect size for years. This has been lost in the market today. We offer the majority of our footwear in D, E, and EEE widths to provide well-fitting footwear.
We encourage customers to ask our team for assistance to ensure the best fit.

Long sizing process, good fit/materials, break in going well
"Getting the right size took a while, and I had to go back and forth with customer service for advice. Materials/leather are good quality. Fit is good first try after taking the given recommendation. Break in is going well. Only one pressure point on one foot relating to the break in."
Flawless boot!!
"These are some of the highest quality boots you can buy for the money!! Stitching is perfect; the leather is perfect and the overall build and feel is substantial!! I’ve gotten Thursday boots before these and thought they were good but they don’t even come close to grant stone. If you’ve been considering getting any GS boots, just do it. You’ll have them for years and years and won’t be disappointed!"
Great Boots!
"Beautiful and well-crafted boots. I had a small issue with the first pair I received and Grant Stone quickly and kindly replaced them. Takes a couple of wears to break-in, but I love my boots!"
What shall I get next from Grant Stone?
"I love Grant Stone footwear made evident by the fact that I own five pairs of boots and one pair of shoes in the Leo Last. I purchased the Cap Toe boot to dress up my casual wear, and they go great with a Winter weight Sport Coat."
Great craftsmanship!
"This is my first pair of Grant Stone boots but I was so pleased with the quality and ease of breaking in that I bought the Diesel boots in dune CXL as well!"
Love the shoe. I am
"Love the shoe. I am breaking it in currently."
The best of the best is the Cap Toe.
"Once again Grant Stone delivers; Top fit, finish and leather construction. These boots take a mirror shine. Can’t beat these boots at any price."
Amazing Customer Service. Lasts run very large.
"I personally recommend going a full size down from your brannock. The Lasts run very large. My brannock is 10E and I got lucky and guess worked down a whole size to a 9E, only to have GS customer support (Kim) help me with the order. She was very patient with my incessant questions, and responded quickly. With Grant stones that snuggly fit my feet, couldn't be a happier first time boot owner. Cheers."
Crimson Chromexcel
"I like em better than my redwings 1000%. The construction is fantastic and they look and feel great."
Q&A
- Is the cap toe a true cap toe? Can a cobbler resole these if needed?
- Like the majority of boot manufactories, we do not have a true cap toe. Indeed, it is quite rare to find them outside of a small subset of bootmakers consolidated in the PNW. Because these are Goodyear-welted, they are fully resoleable.
- Two questions: - I'm allergic to coconut and palm oils (including carnauba) . Are either of those used anywhere in the production process (whether tanning or shining)? - How much do they weigh? Thank you much🙏🏻
- Good Morning Jason, The Carnauba wax is used on several of our products. Our shoes average 4lbs and the boots average 5lbs.
- Gusseted tongue?
- It is. The gusset itself is about an inch tall.
