The Brass Boot combines robust leathers, rugged outsoles, and all-day comfort.The moc toe is hand-sewn onto a one-piece vamp. The Floyd last features the same locked-in heel control but with higher walls at the toe box to allow forefoot freedom.

Chromexcel leather tanned by Horween in Chicago is incredibly resilient while offering unparalleled character. The hot-stuffed tannage's natural oils and waxes create an unmistakable pull-up effect and supple feel.

This boot utilizes our lug sole, which is designed for harsher conditions. The taller lugs and medium-density compound offer a combination of traction and durability.

"The quality of the boots is great, and immediately catches your eye. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them already. Also really enjoy how versatile they are, and how they can easily be dressed up or thrown on for a more casual look. I will say the heel area is fairly stiff though, I would recommend double socking or getting heel protectors (or both) as you break them in. I was finding I was getting some slight achilles heel pain from wearing them at first, so definitely has a break in period."

"I absolutely love these boots. They are exceptionally well made and the leather quality is great. Generally speaking I now wear the boots just about every day. I am also a first time boot purchaser, and the Grant Stone support team was extremely helpful in finding my ideal size. They were extremely accommodating when it came to exchanging sizes. Regarding sizing, the boots certainly run large. I think that I prefer a more snug fit in the toe box area, so I ultimately went a full size down and one width up from my bannock size. They fit perfectly, and I would not have been able to find this size were it not for the customer support team."

My experience with Grant Stone Brass Boot

"Extremely well thought out packaging, with each boot in its own premium fabric bag. Boots were a perfect fit right out of the box, with the helpful customer support team quickly answering any questions about fitting. I had a UK 7 ecco metropole boot and they immediately recommended me the size 7. 5, which was a perfect fit. Boots received a lot of compliments from friends and strangers as they complimented the great design and color. The boots are classy and restrained, not standing out too much but still showing great taste. Overall experience is great. However when the boots arrived one of the laces on the left boot was slightly torn which has no affect performance wise but is an aesthetic concern. There is slight heel slip when the boot was first tried, but with thicker socks the boots have no problem locking your heel in, I only had that problem with very thin socks. The boots are very thick and structured with no creasing at the toe area even when squatting to lift or climbing stairs. The leather feels very premium and I think it is well suited in a colder country, I felt my feet were quite hot in a warmer room, but outside it is absolutely perfect. The boot height also made me taller and feel taller and the heavy duty studs on the bottom made sure that I did not slip even when walking on ice + snow water slush. The boot lace holes and eyelets are super smooth when lacing, when when pulling on the laces the entire length of the holes all tighten which is amazing. My ankle feels well supported even when carrying heavy loads. Overall a 9. 5/10"

Q&A

The crimson brass boot appears not to have the layer of veg tanned leather in the heel stack that the other colors do. Is that right? If so, why?
Yes, that is correct. It was just a cosmetic choice on our part to differentiate it from some of the other Brass boots.
What is the length of the laces for the brass boot
The cotton length is 57". The leather laces are slightly longer but can be cut to any length.
