The Badalassi Carlo Tannery's Minerva leather is one of our favorites. This boutique Italian tannery specializes in vegetable tanning. During the process, the leather is placed in a 'Bottali' which is a large barrel that rotates allowing the organic tanning substances to stay in contact with the article. A complete cycle may take 30 - 35 days. The result is an incredibly rich leather with transparency and depth.
